2024 FIRST Robotics Competition CHARGED UP

Under strict rules and limited time and resources, teams of high school students are challenged to build industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game in alliance with other teams, while also fundraising to meet their goals, designing a team “brand,” and advancing respect and appreciation for STEM within the local community.

Every year, we embark on the exciting journey of constructing a brand-new robot for our competitions. To make the most of our limited funding, we carefully disassemble and salvage numerous components from the previous year’s robot. This sustainable approach allows us to retain each year’s robot for demonstrations in the following year while we tirelessly work on crafting our latest creation. Furthermore, we maintain a stockpile of spare parts to ensure we’re well-prepared in the event of occasional breakdowns, a common occurrence in the heat of competition. Lastly, as technology continues to advance, we continually adapt by integrating new types of components to keep our robots on the cutting edge.
